Inventory Library
Selecting Inventory from the left sidebar opens the Inventory Library where Boltline tracks every physical instance of a part throughout its lifetime. This includes the as-built BOM (aBOM) referencing all components that were used to build it.
From the Inventory page you can view, sort, filter, and add inventory items. In addition, you can perform various actions and bulk actions from this page.
Add Inventory
- Select
+ Add Inventoryfrom top right section of the window. - Select the part number you are creating inventory for.
- Enter the serial number.
- Enter the quantity and location.
- Click
Create.

Bulk Actions
You can bulk delete, move, or export inventory items from the Inventory page. Select all or some of the items to perform a bulk action.
The bulk actions will only be performed on what is visible on the screen, not all items.
You can filter the list using the filters in the table header. For example, you can filter items by a specific location.
Filter By Location
- Select the
Locationheader in the table. - Click
Select a locationto view all available inventory locations. - Choose the location you want to filter by.
- You can select a nested location by clicking
+in the Filter:Location box.
- You can select a nested location by clicking
- Click anywhere on the screen or press
Escto close the dropdown and see the filtered results.
If you want to filter to a nested location, click the pencil Change Location icon to bring up the Search Inventory Locations dialog. You can use / to traverse to nested locations in the search input box.
The filtered list will now be availale for bulk actions. Click the Edit n Inventory button in the top right corner of the window.
You can filter by any header row of the table.
Delete
Deleting inventory is unrecoverable and any or all information and activity associated with the part will be deleted.
- Select by rows in the checkbox (or select all at top of checkbox column).
- Click the
Edit n Inventorybutton in the top right corner of the window. - Click
Delete. - You will be prompted that this action is not reversable. To permanently delete the selected items click
Ok.
The selected items have been permanently deleted.
Move
- Select by rows in the checkbox (or select all at top of checkbox column).
- Click the
Edit n Inventorybutton in the top right corner of the window. - Click
Move. - Enter the location to move the selected items to.
- Click
Submit.
The items have been successfully moved. To view them, filter by the destination location.
Export to CSV
- Select by rows in the checkbox (or select all at top of checkbox column).
- Click the
Edit n Inventorybutton in the top right corner of the window. - Click
Export to CSV. - Click
Downloadin the confirmation dialog.
A csv of the selected items will be downloaded to your default download location.
Pagination
You can change the number of inventory items that fit on a page by adjusting the number in the bar at the bottom of the table. The largest page size is 200 items.
To ensure you are finding all inventory tied to a part number, open the Part Detail page, scroll down, and select the Inventory tab.
