Automations
Create automated actions such as sending Slack notifications, or delivering a webhook payload, when the automation is triggered in a workflow.
Configure the automation rule
- Click
+ Add Rule. - Select the down arrow on the right.
Configure the trigger type

Name
- It can be helpful to change the name to be descriptive of the triggered action you are automating. For example, you might name it, "Send notifications to manager and test engineer upon completion of workflow."

Trigger
- Type: You can trigger the action when a new card is created, a card changes status (moves to a specific column), or when a Xero PO changes status.
- Details: Enter the details, such as the status column, for the trigger.
Configure the action

Click
+ Add Action. -
Select the down arrow on the right to configure the type of action.

Name
- It can be helpful to change the name to be descriptive of the action. For example, you might name it, "Send Slack message to manager."

Type
- Select the action you want to automate. The choices are:
- Boltline - Move card to status
- Slack - Send a message
- Webhook - Send payload to an endpoint
- Xero - Create a Purchase Order
- Select the action you want to automate. The choices are:
