Creating Inventory

There are several ways to add inventory to your inventory library. Inventory can be created manually from the Part Detail page or the Inventory Detail page. It is also automatically generated when a Kit is assembled, or can be assembled directly from the Part Detail page. Kits can also be automated as part of a Work Plan, resulting in the creation of inventory.

Add Inventory on the Part Detail Page

There are at least two different ways to add inventory from the Part Detail page.

Available Units

  • Select Available 0 units under the image holder on the left
  • Select Add Inventory
  • Select the part number you are creating inventory for
  • Enter the quantity and location
  • Click Create

Bottom Panel

  • Select Add Inventory
  • Select the part number you are creating inventory for
  • Enter the quantity and location
  • Click Create

Add Inventory from Inventory Library

  • Select + Add Inventory from top right section of the window
  • Select the part number you are creating inventory for
  • Enter the serial number
  • Enter the quantity and location
  • Click Create

  • Select Available 0 units
  • Select Add Inventory
  • Select the part number you are creating inventory for
  • Enter the quantity and location
  • Click Create

Automated Generation of Inventory

Whenever you use Boltline to assemble part components into a finished part, inventory is generated. The following actions generate inventory:
