Sending and Recieving Inventory

The Send & Receive feature streamlines inventory management by adding ordered parts to the Boltline system through Intake and tracks inventory movement across locations with Send Transfer and Receive Transfer.

Intake

Add inventory received from an external source, like shipments of ordered parts.

  • Navigate to Inventory > Send & Receive from the left side panel
  • From the Intake tab, search by the part number, name, description, or short name (unique Boltline ID in QC label)
    • If the part information isn't already in the system, you'll need to add it first. See Part Creation
  • Select the correct part
  • Enter the quantity received
  • You have the option of uploading any relevant files
  • Enter the inventory location where the parts can be found
  • Click Create

Send Transfer

Move inventory to a different location within the organization.

  • Search by the part number, name, description, or short name (unique Boltline ID in QC label)
  • Select the correct part
  • Adjust the quantity if necessary
  • Edit the location to show the new location where it's being sent
  • Click Send

Receive Transfers

Accept the inventory sent from another location within the organization.

  • When you click Receive Transfers, it shows all inventory that is in transit
  • Find the inventory you want to accept to the new location. Look for the small green checkmark button to the right of the item panel, and click on it.
  • Review the Receive Inventory pop-up window and click Receive
