Mark this Item as Planned

Use Mark as Planned when the item is not yet physically built—for example, it is planned for future assembly or not physically on hand yet. The item stays in the system with planned status until work is completed.

From the Inventory Item Detail window:

  • Click Edit.
  • Select Mark as Planned to set the item as planned.

The action runs immediately; no confirmation dialog is shown.

To remove planned status after the item is built or received:

  • Click Edit, then select Remove Planned Status.
Inventory Created on an Order

When inventory on an order has not been received, Go to Order or Receive Items show under Additional Actions instead of Remove Planned Status. These shortcuts open the order so the inventory can be received, detached, or deleted there.

After the inventory has been received on the order, Mark as Planned and Remove Planned Status return under Edit whenever Boltline allows status changes.

Planned items are distinct from physical inventory and help you track what is planned or not yet built.
