Scrap this Item

Scrapping marks inventory as scrapped while keeping the item and its history in the system.

From the Inventory Item Detail window:

  • Click Edit.
  • Select Scrap from the menu.
  • In the Scrap Inventory? confirmation dialog, review the message and click Scrap to confirm.

You can repeat these steps to unscrap the item.

tip

Scrapped items remain visible in Boltline with their history. You can still view and reference them.

Bulk scrap from the library​

  • From the Inventory Library, select one or more items.
  • Click Edit, then choose Scrap {count} inventory.
  • In the confirmation dialog, choose whether to move the scrapped items to a new location (select No or Yes).
  • Confirm to scrap the selected items.

Bulk scrap (or Detach) from the aBOM​

When working in the aBOM view, you can scrap or detach multiple lines at once:

  • Open the aBOM Options menu (overflow menu in the aBOM section) and click Bulk Edit. Checkboxes appear on each aBOM line with installed parts.
  • Select the lines to scrap or detach by checking their boxes.
  • In the bulk editing bar, click Scrap or Detach to open the corresponding dialog.
  • Optionally choose a location for the items if needed.
  • Confirm to complete the bulk operation.
