Changing a Part Revision

Boltline also allows you to change the revision number of a part if there is an updated design revision.

From the Inventory Detail Page

• Select Edit.
• Select Change Part Revision from the drop-down menu to bring up the Change Part Revision dialog box.

From the dialog box

• Select the desired revision.
• Click Submit to change the base part.

Success!

The Revision has been updated.

attached aBOM items persist

If there was an active aBOM for the piece of Inventory, any attached items will remain as "extra items" on the aBOM

If the new revision haa an eBOM that has not been fulfilled, it will show those items as Missing in the aBOM.
