Quickbooks Integration

Integrate Boltline with Quickbooks Online to connect your inventory and manufacturing operations with your accounting system.

Prerequisites

Before configuring the Quickbooks integration, ensure you have:

  • Admin Access: Organization Owner or Admin role in Boltline
  • Quickbooks Access:
    • Quickbooks Online account
    • Owner role in your Quickbooks account (Admin is not sufficient—you must be an Owner)
Quickbooks Owner Role Required

You must have the Owner role in Quickbooks to authorize the Boltline connection. If you are not the account owner, ask your Quickbooks administrator to either grant you Owner access or complete the authorization on your behalf.

Configure Quickbooks Integration

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations

  • Log into Boltline as an Organization Owner or Admin.
  • Navigate to Organization > Integrations.
  • Locate Quickbooks in the list of available integrations. If you do not see it listed, contact Customer Success to enable it for your organization.
  • Click Configure.

Step 2: Authenticate with Quickbooks

  • In the Authentication section, click Authenticate.
  • You will be redirected to Quickbooks to authorize the connection.
  • Sign in to your Quickbooks Online account (if not already signed in).
  • Select the Quickbooks company you want to connect to Boltline.
  • Review the permissions Boltline is requesting and click Connect.
  • You will be redirected back to Boltline.

Step 3: Verify Connection

  • After successful authentication, the Quickbooks integration will show as connected.
Success!

Your Quickbooks integration is now connected and ready to use.

Permissions Requested

When you authorize Boltline, the following Quickbooks permissions are requested:

Using the Integration

Once connected, you can:

  • Sync Inventory - Keep inventory levels synchronized between Boltline and Quickbooks
  • Create Purchase Orders - Generate purchase orders in Quickbooks from Boltline
  • Sync Products/Items - Map Boltline parts to Quickbooks products

Disconnecting Quickbooks

If you need to disconnect the integration:

  • Navigate to Organization > Integrations.
  • Click on the Quickbooks integration.
  • Click Disconnect and confirm.

Troubleshooting
